New update for the echOpen app: vascular presetting for a clearer view!
At echOpen, every update to our app is designed to enrich your daily clinical ultrasound practice. Today, we unveil a new version available on both iOS (2.21) and Android (2.21.1.141), a version that marks an important milestone in vascular image precision.
New vascular preset: improved legibility for vessel exploration
Many of you have been waiting for this feature: vascular mode makes its debut in the echOpen application.
Why is this useful?
This new preset optimizes the visualization of vascular structures, with a sharper, more contrasted and easier-to-read image.
Use for :
- Easily locate a vein or artery
- Better interpret vascular anatomy

Other notable improvements
On iOS and Android, you'll also find :
- Image smoothing filter activated by default on all presets except Lung mode.
- Direct links to my.echopen.com have been added to the settings and gallery, for easy access to your reviews.
- New, clearer and more explicit design of the probe connection popup.
Specific bug fixes
On iOS :
- The entire image is now displayed, even at maximum zoom.
- The "Retry" button on the connection popup works again.
- The media synchronization process has been stabilized.
- Updated "About" page.
- Settings icon corrected.
On Android :
- Refusing a phone call no longer interrupts the ultrasound consultation in progress.
System compatibility
- iOS 17 or later is required to benefit from this update.
- Android 10 or later is also required.
The update is already available on the App Store and Play Store.
