What is echOchallenge2024?

Object

echOpen foundation (association loi 1901), which aims to promote the use and training of clinical ultrasound, and echOpen Factory SAS, are launching a survey of medical interns to form a working group to better understand the issues involved in clinical ultrasound training and use.

Objective

This working group will be made up of around 50 interns, who will collectively take part in studies, functionality tests and general reflection on the use of clinical ultrasound. The main objective is to create a training path adapted to young doctors or those new to clinical ultrasound, enabling them to master the basics of a clinical examination enriched by this new practice.

Participation and compensation

Interns are invited to complete an online form (available via the following link: questionnaire) to express their motivation to take part in the project. Based on the completion of the form and the answers given, a group of interns will be selected as "eligible" to take part in the project. If the number of eligible interns exceeds the number requested by echOpen, a draw will be held.

Participation will take the form of 3 half-days. Compensation in kind will be paid for these half-days in accordance with CRP L. 1453-11 and R 1453-17. This compensation will be a echOpen O1 Beta version probe worth €800 inc. VAT, or a day's training in clinical ultrasound worth €640 inc. An agreement will be signed with each intern, then declared to the Ordre des Médecins in accordance with the procedure detailed in the above-mentioned texts.

Supporting interns

The interns selected will receive support in introducing their training in clinical ultrasound to their department heads, and in declaring the service to their establishments or associations.
